The Photographer

Anita Goes (b. 1985) is a Brazilian photographer and visual artist based in New York. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Senac, The Brazilian School of Art and Photography, and in 2009, received a diploma in Art History from the Museum of Modern Art São Paulo. In 2017 she was invited to join the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst School of Fine Art in Leipzig, Germany as a Resident Artist, where she resided for one year.

As a photographer, she has collaborated with Harper’s Bazaar Brazil, Schön, Iki Italy, FFW Magazine, Key, S/N, Serafina. In November of 2017, she joined ONLY Mobile Magazine’s team and signs as Creative Director for fashion.

Anita’s work is known for its anthropological investigation and exploration of individual and group identities. Using photography as a mechanism of representation, recording, and archiving global encounters, she seeks a deeper understanding of our perception of society.
